As some of you may know, buried deep in the KillerSites Video Library, are dozens of videos and mini courses that teach all kinds of cool things like:

These are all short courses running 1-2 hrs each, so up until now, we only included them in library and in some of our Complete packages.
Things change …. we just decided to release them on the KillerVideoStore because some people don’t want to subscribe or buy a complete package … and since they are mini courses, the prices will be mini too!

After thinking about it for 2.32 years, I finally got around to adding testimonials and a rating system to the killer video store.
The testimonials and ratings can be made on a per course basis on the video download page after you log in (video log-in page).
Where are the comments displayed?

We are currently working on what I call ‘Project Simplify’ … basically that means going through the four websites in the network:
… and stripping away old content, simplifying the pages, updating the commentary videos … etc. It’s a time consuming job especially when you have years of content to cleanup.

If you’ve come to the store in the recent past, you’ve probably noticed that our layout has changed a lot. We went from very basic to slick, and now we are back to simple – with a few additions.
What we found with the ultra slick layout, was that it just confused people. It looked great, but the layout got in the way of making the site usable and I got constant messages from people try to find courses. The lesson in this, is to always lean towards simple layouts and leave the high-end design to concept sites.

I just wanted to mention that currently, several of our sample videos look crappy because we are feeding them from our Youtube channel.
The actual videos themselves are in HD, and look crystal clear when you buy them.
That said, we are fixing the problem and hopefully by the time you read this, the crappy looking video samples will be gone.

Hi,
In this recent update of killerVideoStore.com, we concentrated on making the website look really slick. I think it has that 2012 uber-nerd feel to it. But … I also believe it fails my first test of a website: the emotional snapshot.
What is the emotional snapshot?
It is that first impression you get when you hit a site …. it is not what you think, but rather what you feel instantly. For me, the number one thing, is that the visitor feels relaxed. If they feel anxious, overwhelmed or confused … you have a problem.
… When I look at the new killerVideoStore website, I feel anxious … almost attacked by the design. We are currently working on smoothing things out. I will blog about this as we make progress.
